Why not start your wellbeing journey with us?

The Counselling Journey

There are a number of reasons why people look into counselling, some carry labels, some don’t, whatever your reason, our trained counsellors will work with you in order to explore wherever you are, and look to help you get to where you would like to be.

It's a cliché, but counselling is a journey which offers a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to talk to someone who is trained to listen and help you, a place to talk about yourself and your life. At Cornerstone we make it our aim to focus on you throughout your journey.

If you've had counselling before, we trust you will encounter a refreshing experience with us here at Cornerstone. We provide a space away from everyday life where you can pause, reflect, and seek to process whatever is on your mind.

We understand that people at first can be uncomfortable with the thought that they need counselling, so you are not alone if you feel like this. But it is very difficult to clearly evaluate what is going on in your life when you sit within the situation, and talking to a professional counsellor can help you find a solution to your problem.

We know that it can take time to choose the right therapist to work with, and we know that this can be a daunting process. At Cornerstone we want to help make that as smooth as possible, so we offer a free initial meeting, with no obligation to continue. This is the space for you to work out whether we are a good fit for you, and we can talk you through the therapeutic process. Our standard rates thereafter start at £50 for a session in our Cornerstone therapy rooms.

You can also be reassured that our counsellors are registered with the BACP - a regulatory body for counsellors in the UK. To achieve registration, counsellors have to have studied a recognised therapy course, conducted many hours of therapy, agree to ongoing professional development, and sign up to adhere to an ethical framework which keeps safe working as a priority.

Cornerstone is a friendly and approachable counselling organisation based in Wellington, close to the Devon/Somerset border, and within easy reach of Junction 26 of the M5.

Interested? Why not email us now. We look forward to working with you.
