Cornerstone was founded in 2014 with the aim of offering a service that gives clients a fresh and unique therapy experience. We are aware that we don't conform to the therapist stereotype - but that's the appeal of Cornerstone!
Chris, our senior counsellor studied at the Iron Mill counselling college in Exeter, and has vast experience of working with a wide variety of clients of all ages.
All of our counsellors are registered members of the BACP, which is our professional body. We also affiliate with other counselling and coaching organisations, and undertake regular supervision and training to ensure that we always work in the most appropriate manner with our clients.
In October 2018 we started to work closely with Wellington Community Counselling, providing low and no cost therapy to members of the local community. All counsellors affiliated with Cornerstone provide this service.
Often, the demand for our services outstrips availability, so we choose to formally partner with high quality counsellors who we believe can add to our skill set, and help us to offer an enhanced service to potential clients. To this end, we have enlisted the assistance of Robin Boult and Rachael Horan, our consultant counsellors, to work with some of our clients. Robin and Rachael work both face to face from our therapy rooms as well as remotely, offering appointment times across the full day.
We also have a trusted network of therapists local to us who we will happily recommend should be we unable to see you at particularly busy times.
We have therapy rooms in South Street in Wellington. There's easy access and convenient parking right behind the building. From here we are able to offer face to face, as well as outdoor and online sessions. If you are looking to undertake counselling, why not check us out and see if we can help.
