The Cornerstone offices will be closed from the end of the working day on Friday 20th December until 9 am on Thursday 2nd January. Clients with existing appointments will be able to plan their individual requirements with their own therapist.
Please note that counselling isn't a crisis service, and as such Cornerstone is not able to offer crisis support during the festive period. If you find yourself in a negative space and would like to talk to someone, then we would invite you to contact one of the many crisis agencies available in Somerset. Clicking on this link will direct you to the Somerset Partnership NHS website, and the appropriate information. (Website visitors in Devon can find information by clicking here.)
The Samaritans are also on hand and available to respond to a call. You can phone them on 116 123 (this is a free call on any UK network).
Our chosen charity for 2019
Once again, we are delighted to announce that the Cornerstone Christmas Charity in 2019 is the Trussell Trust. We have huge respect for the work they do nationwide, and we admire greatly the work that local volunteers do for the foodbank in Wellington. As a consequence we are inviting clients to donate items to the foodbank, via us. We will then top up the donations.
If you would like to donate to the foodbank, then there are a number of collection points around the town - alternatively get in contact with us and we'll take your donation before handing it over, along with everything else we collect.
Thank you, and Merry Christmas everyone at Cornerstone
