Christmas 2023

Accessing support this Christmas

Crisis Information

Who to contact if you need help over the Christmas period

The Cornerstone offices will be closed from the end of the working day on Thursday 21st December until 9am on Wednesday 3rd January. Clients with existing appointments will be able to plan their individual requirements with their own therapist.

Please note that counselling isn't a crisis service, and as such Cornerstone is not able to offer crisis support during the Christmas period.

If you find yourself in a negative space and would like to talk to someone, then we would invite you to contact one of the many crisis agencies available in Somerset.

Clicking on this link will direct you to the Somerset Partnership NHS website, and the appropriate information. (Website visitors in Devon can find information by clicking here.)

The Samaritans are also on hand and available to respond to a call. You can phone them on 116 123 (this is a free call on any UK network).

If you, or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, then reach out to Somerset Survivors who can offer assistance.

SHOUT will work with you to  find ways to help you access the support you have in place as well as other forms of support available to you. They will also contact emergency services or social services if needed.
