“Naming, owning, then processing. Change is possible!”

As your counsellor, my role is to provide a safe space to help you overcome the various hurdles that life may currently be throwing at you at any given moment.

I really enjoy my job! Being a counsellor means I can empower people to begin living, not just existing. I'm here to help people adapt and evolve in the ways they may want. Change can happen!

I am a qualified and registered counsellor with the BACP, and for over 20 years I have worked with individuals and businesses to help them change, adapt, and grow through personal and professional challenges. I view my clients non-judgmentally and will provide you with the space you need to explore your internal process.

It may sound obvious, but no two clients are the same - we are all unique as human beings. My counselling skills and experience enable me to tailor our sessions to ensure we are fully focused on you, and your therapy goals.

I believe that within themselves everybody has the capacity to change - you just have to want to...engaging with a counsellor is an important step in this! My style is down-to-earth, warm, and genuine. I'm aware that counselling can be a daunting experience for many people, even if you have had therapy before. I will work to do all I can to make the experience a positive one for you.

I have experience of working in the following areas, although this list is not exhaustive:

  • Abortion
  • Abuse
  • Addictions
  • Adoption
  • Anger Management
  • Anxiety (personal and workplace)
  • Attachment Disorder
  • Bereavement and Loss
  • Cancer
  • Career Issues
  • Depression
  • Domestic Violence
  • Emotional Abuse
  • Low self-confidence
  • Low self-esteem
  • Miscarriage
  • OCD
  • Panic Attacks
  • PTSD
  • Relationship issues
  • Separation and Divorce
  • Stress

If you are going through something in your life and you don't see it on this list, why not get in touch and see if I can help?

Why I became a counsellor

I began training as a counsellor in 2011 following a decade of experience working with individuals and teams in a behavioural consulting environment.

I have worked with a variety of people during my consultancy and counselling careers, from senior managers and business owners to retired folk and teenagers, from ex-offenders to police officers. I enjoy the relational depth that comes from my work, and I have been able to enhance my skills in order to be able to help people on a more emotional level.

Away from work I love family time, walking the south west’s glorious countryside and coastline, and serving in the community.

I work out of our therapy rooms in Wellington and provide face to face, virtual, and telephone counselling. If you’re interested, why not leave a message for me on our answering service 01823 765065, or email me directly.
